Our email series is all about drafting effective emails to clients when registration and payment deadlines are looming and it was a huge hit with hundreds of thousands of reads and thousands of likes. Thanks for the support! Since it seems this is something that you all really want to know more about, we decided to make a few infographics to more easily highlight the qualities of a great email to clients- whether it be a registration deadline email or payment request email.
The goal of any quality payment request email is to get paid, and get paid faster. Your goal should be seeing a payment within 3-5 days after a payment request email goes out. You should also have a goal of seeing less than 10% of recipients responding to your email. Why? Because a great email means a client shouldn’t have any follow up questions or any question about what they need to do, the call to action requested in the email is clear and how to accomplish it is also easy to understand for the reader.
The infographic and in depth blog post will give you the tools you need to achieve the 2 goals above. It boils down to having an email that highlights important dates, balance due and obvious links to go directly from the email to the payment site, including login information and a detailed invoice so the reader knows exactly where they stand, what payments they’d previously made and what their balance today is. Both the infographic and detailed blog post have a template that you can feel free to base your own payment request email on! Click on the image to see it in full size. Enjoy!
