Our Autobill tool is great for regulating your cash flow. You set payment plans in place and the system automatically charges your applicants. Today we will look at how to allow users to be enrolled in multiple autobill plans at once.
First navigate to “Settings” and click “Autobill.”
Click “Tools” and then select “Autobill General Settings.”
A few options will pop up:
Allow users to be on multiple plans (default off), prevent payment amounts from altering after specific payments amount is covered (default on), balanced fund allocation (default on), and prioritize autobill plan payments (default off).
Allow users to be on multiple plans: Turning “On” will allow users to enroll in multiple autobill plans. We recommend turning this option on if you have product based plans and allow users to choose more than one plan eligible product.
Prevent payment amounts from altering after specific payments amount is covered: When “On”, after a payment is made that covers a specific payment in the schedule, the system will prevent that amount from changing, even if they add additional units to their cart, get a discount, or make any other change. These changes will reflect only on future payments. This will ensure that your users understand what they are going to pay and when. Note that if the system detects a situation where the plan is not in sync with user balance it will unlock the payment schedule to prevent over payment.
Balanced fund allocation: Turning “On” will allow our calculation script to move funds to ensure all products are paid for equally as the user pays. If this is “Off”, our script will allocate funds from the top product in a user’s cart going down as each product is paid off.
Prioritize autobill plan payments: Turning “On” will prioritize paying off any products assigned to any autobill plans. Any products not assigned to an autobill plan will be only paid after all autobill related products are paid first. Turning “Off” will force upfront payment for any products not assigned to an autobill plan.
Click “On” to allow users to enroll in multiple autobill plans, then click “Save.”
Please note, it is possible you may have some some products on autobill plans, and other products that need to be paid in full at the time of checkout. If this is the case, you will need to create a pay in full autobill plan for those products that you want to collect payment when your user is checking out. Feel free to reach out to support for further instructions on setting that up!
