Creating a new project from a template gives you a running start on getting your new project set up.
Regpack’s templates feature provides pre-built forms and fields, which can be helpful if you will be starting a project the is unlike any of your others. Different from copy project, templates allow you to select the system structure prior to the system being created. If you’d like to learn how to copy an existing project in your system, click here.
To get started, you will want to select “Project Settings” from the Settings side bar.
Now you can select the “Create New Project” button in the upper right hand corner of the page.
Note that you can also always create a new project by clicking on the project list at the bottom left of the page, and select “Create New Project”. Both buttons will take you to the same place!
Next you can select if you would like to create a project from a template or as a copy. Select which template best matches your goals (if you’re not sure, just choose the closest!). This menu is just to help guide narrow the templates down for you, and will not have too much barring on the new project.
Next you can select if this will be a project for individual registrants or for groups. A good way to think of this is that in an individual system, one account equals one person only. In a group system, multiple people can be registered through a single login. Choose whichever you believe to be the best fit for your new project.
You’ll now have a list of possible templates to choose from. Feel free to click “try it out” to create a test user on one of these projects, and keep in mind that you’ll be able to edit this template once it’s built to specifically fit it to your needs.
Once Template has been selected, the next step is the merchant account setup, creating a new one or connecting the existing account.
Once you’ve made your choice, you can title your project, and opt in to project manager assistance if you’d like it.
Click “Create project”, and you’re all done!
