The appearance tab can be accessed under the project settings tab:
The appearance tab has a number of useful functions, which are broken into the below categories:
Front-end behavior
Scroll to the system on page load
The system auto scrolls the user to the system so they can start registration right away if it is not seen.
This allows for better usability.
When “off” the system will stay at the top of the page.
“On” is recommended setting.
Top Padding For System Scrolling on Tablets & Desktop
This is the top space that the system will leave when it scrolls to the top of the system.
Set this value if you have a sticky menu on your site so that the top of the system is not hidden by it.
Values are in number and represent the number of pixels the system will leave for padding.
Mobile Front-end behavior
Auto redirect to mobile-optimized site for phones
When the system detects a phone it will redirect the user to a phone optimized site.
This makes sure users can register easily on mobile devices.
When “off” they stay on the embedded page. Turn off only if you have a mobile optimized website.
“On” is recommended setting.
Top Padding For System Scrolling on Phones
This is the top space that the system will leave when it scrolls to the top of the system.
Set this value if you have a sticky menu on your site so that the top of the system is not hidden by it.
Values are in number and represent the number of pixels the system will leave for padding.
Front-end Top Bar
In this section, you can control how the front-end top bar works for your applicants.
Before Registration / Logging in
Show “Register” button
If hidden the system will not present the “Register” button on the top right of the screen.
“Show” is recommended setting.
“Register” button text (default green button on top right of front-end screen)
Show “Login” button
If hidden the system will not present the “Login” button on the top right of the screen.
This will not block access for returning users. It will just remove direct access to the system login form.
It is not recommended to hide the login button unless your system is completely anonymous. If you wish to block the ability to login you will need to disable the system completely.
“Show” is recommended setting.
“Login” button text (default grey button on top right of front-end screen)
Show “Login to my account” link on top left of screen
If hidden the system will not present the “Login to my account” link on the top left of the screen.
This link provides an additional way for users to access the login form. The same conditions apply to hiding this option as hiding the login button.
“Show” is recommended setting.
“Login to my account” text
Progress Bar Display Settings
Show “My Application” progress bar and navigation menu
If hidden the system will not present the “My Application” progress bar on the top of the screen right after registering or logging in. This bar acts as a navigation portal so it is advised to display it.
Note: If the project only has one form the system will not present the navigation menu by default.
“Show” is recommended setting.
“My Application” progress bar and navigation text
Changing this text will only affect the main account presentation. For sub-accounts, the system always presents their name. Note that when the head-account only has one form, the system will not present the navigation menu by default.
Show “My Application” bar for sub-accounts (children)
If hidden the system will not present the “My Application” bar on the top right for each sub-account.
Hiding this element will make understanding which sub-account they are viewing difficult.
“Show” is recommended setting.
Top and Side Links
You can set links to present at the top and side of the front-end.
Regpack is built to make sure the user goes through a process tailor made for them therefore creating these links is not recommended as it might divert the user from the recommended process.
